APV Heating Services regularly partners with a local builder who specialises in high-quality new build homes. On this occasion, the project involved a customer who had purchased a plot of land in the Sevenoaks area with an existing pre-fabricated house already on site.
The plan was to construct a brand-new home on the land, move into it once completed, and only then demolish the original property. This required careful planning to ensure services were installed efficiently and the new home was equipped with a modern, future-proof heating system from day one.
As a new build project, the heating solution needed to:
Given the property’s design and the inclusion of wet underfloor heating throughout, an air source heat pump was the ideal solution. Underfloor heating operates at lower flow temperatures, making it perfectly suited to renewable heat pump technology and maximising system efficiency.
The new home was designed with a dedicated plant space, allowing for the neat installation of an unvented hot water cylinder and associated system components. Early coordination with the builder ensured pipework routes, plant positioning, and external unit placement were all optimised before final finishes were completed.
As part of the installation, the project qualified for the government’s £7,500 grant under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, helping to reduce the upfront investment in renewable technology.
The system was installed, commissioned, and signed off, ready for the family to move straight into a fully operational, efficient home.
The finished property now benefits from:
By planning the heating system correctly from the outset, the customer moved into their new home with a reliable, future-ready heating solution already in place, another successful collaboration between APV Heating Services and their trusted building partner.
